Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Theory

Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory course £289

This is a 40 hour course offered over weekends or evenings. Just give Rosy a call 07825311569 or send a text and we’ll get back to you.

The course fee includes the RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory Pack: the charts, the almanac, the electronic chart plotter and other learning material.

Oh, in case I  forget we provide teas, coffees, biscuits and occasionally home baking !!

This course is for the Day Skipper who is ready for some bigger adventures. Typically you will be sailing longer passages, visiting remoter locations and  experiencing more challenging conditions.

The shorebased theory course is design to ensure that your Navigation, Seamanship and Safety skills are up to the standards require before undertaking the RYA practical course.

This builds on the knowledge already gained from the RYA Day Skipper theory course, which is a prerequisite before joining the course.

The course is supported by our  videos, please check them out on our YouTube channel: Here’s one of the Coastal skipper/Yachtmaster videos on making Secondary Port corrections for tidal heights.
